Time to knuckle down...

And make the push for my Lu Shangs. My problem is I always find other things to do....

So.... time to settle down and do this. I am currently at 4600/10000 - which is annoyingly close to half way. I need 450 stacks of moat to finish this, and I want it by the end of June at the very latest - I need to start making some money, as I can't live on what I have forever. So... shall shells to 53 as before, but this time I am going to actually go and fish them! I haven't gone fishing for an age... If Nafei still wants them, they go to him, otherwise my Jeuno mule sells them, and I use the money to pick up as many moats as I can, keeping within a price limit. If Theoa wants to continue fishing for me, please do - I will buy any and all moat carp at the agreed price. When I eventually cap on Shall Shells (which I know I will before I get my Lu), I will just knuckle down and fish Knightswell dry. I have certain days when I can't do much ingame anyway, so that will be ideal time, also when I am lfp on blm. Wish me luck! I am going to give a weekly update just to chivy me along =)

The small ponds on the eastern side of Rolanberry Fields (about halfway up the map, I think) are also great for moat carp. They're the only thing that'll bite on insect paste. -- Halifirien

Being cheap, my favorite spot was the Lake in East Sarutabaruta. I used little worms and would escape on all the !!!s, which would be Monke-Onke (good for skillups, but could break my hume/halcyon rods). The only small fish here that bite on little worms are the moats. I'd buy the worms at Ensana's Catalyst Shop in Windurst Waters and head out to West Saru and take the first zone over into East Saru and run south to the lake.
