So what has Kir been up to? Well, this weekend has consisted of levelling thief (got it from 19-23). Fun, can't wait for flee. Interesting party in Qufim, 2 thf, 1 mnk, 1 cor, 1 bard 1 whm with a PL (someone else brings a PL for a job like that - I won't say no). Got two levels in it so was pretty good. Decided that since I have hit 23, I am going to start subbing nin - I can SA Fast Blade happily for a similar spike of damage, and at 24 I become less of a burden pulling by having shadows - some pulls I was getting as low as 150 hp on the run back, which in Qufim at night is an interesting run!
Usual Saturday Dynamis, Sunday Gods run. We did Dyna Windy. We seriously need to work out how we are going to clear this one - it is going to take a long time for us. Still got nin and pld AF, and Khelek, who was sponsoring, got 194 coins for his upgrade. Gods were stingy - and I realised that out of the four items I want in sky, Genbu drops three of them - WHY ME??
Other than that is has been a crafty weekend. I went fishing on the ferry with Marmalade (Sethe's alter-ego). He was targetting nebs, I was targetting Bhefel Marlins. Ended up getting about 12 of them, with some silver sharks and some cone calamary thrown in - traded the marlin to Zaldon and got nothing. I know I hooked a couple of titans, because I could do nothing with them (couldn't even drain to past 10%), but I also struggled with what I assumed was silver sharks (stackable, should have been able to reel in but simply couldn't drain them). Ah well, this weekend I got fishing to 46.4 which was good skill ups. I'm going to hit the next level before I have enough GP for my waders though - damn sucky GP items (crayfish lawl). I went back on Sunday, and just hit a really bad patch - I only got 3 marlins and a ton of cone calamary. Gave up in disgust, traded in the marlin and the first one got me a pirate's chart! Hoping to do that battle today.
After catching so much calamary, I have decided to get alchemy to 60 asap, to hit tier 3 for black ink synths. Shouldn't take long. I powered to 20, mainly using poison potions, which I chose the right time to synth with - there were literally none in stock, so I jacked the price on them, and made some nice money on the way! Not sure what I am going to do - probably Sauiri-ran to 27/28 - silent oils is pure loss, and I should at least break even on those. Vivacious hit 28 cooking and joined the guild, working towards her key items. She also is getting some fame, and has done the first MH upgrade, will run her to Jeuno to get gobby bags, and probably an airship pass (she will need a bit of woodworking levelled and stuff like that later, so saves effort).
