I know this won’t make sense to everyone, but I found it really weird. Yesterday, before maint started, I decided to go fish up some shall shells. Nothing new there – the idea was after maint to lfp so might as well get into my normal lfp place. Now the moon was nothing special, and I started catching shells. But I was reeling them in like they were moat carp – I have never reeled them in so easily before. It really confused me – normally some will come in easily, but slowly, but they all landed without any trouble – even the one bluetail I hooked. Weird… Still level 42, but never mind.

Anyway. Whm hit 58 in a fun party in Wajaom Woodlands against tigers and Morbols. Fast party, but fun. Though spamming Paralyna fast for 2 hours is – taxing. Next time, I’m going to take the IS refresh – for the sake of 100 points…

Besieged also happened just after maintenance. Logged back in, realised the trolls were attacking. My hp is set in Al Zhabi (I don’t really have any worries about getting about with my jobs), so warped straight there – to dead bodies everywhere and mayhem. 2 hours were going off all over the place. NPCs were yelling orders to volunteers (including the cool general with the Algol). Goblins helping in the defence of the city (though at least one turned and started wailing on Immortals, killing a couple of them). Damn those trolls etc have some defence. All in all – HUGE fun. Now that is how besieged is supposed to be, and that was only level 1. More like this please! They even took a prisoner, though, thankfully, not the warp taru… it was the first place everyone checked! I died a couple of times, but no xp loss, and got 182 xp and 182 IS points – well worth it!

Now, some congratulations are in order. Firstly to Istari, who, after a drought of nearly 6 months, got, in one week, AF2 boots, followed by his YinYang Robe (finally!!!), then got his AF2 gloves. About time, you crazy summoner.

And finally, Templer, who at last made it to 60 and can wear full pld AF. Considering where you were when I first knew you, I can cheerfully say "About damn time!!"

Shall Shells are wonderful for gil and skillups, and you should ride that rocket train all the way to the cap at 53. They funded my Lu Shang, since at that time you could buy four or five stacks of moats for one stack of shells. -- Halifirien

That's what I have been doing - I sell mine directly to Nafei, who will no doubt post some wierd comment after this - been doing since 27 to be honest. I tried a couple of other things, but hell, I like the gil. And I think Nafei should give me more money after all the running around naked I have been doing while porting people about...

Anyway, 1 stack of shells normally buys 3 stacks of moat at current prices. I doubt I am going to make the total moat before I cap out on shells, but I reckon I should be at most 1500 away, at which point I drop everything and fish on main, then fish on mules to get those last fish.
