Note to self...

Do not read crack!fic while at work. Giggling in a heap when you aren't supposed to be doing anything but working is perhaps NOT the best thing to do. Also - I'm a kid, who laughs at nob jokes. Oh yeah, real classy =)

Anyway. Meme time. Shamelessly stolen from [livejournal.com profile] lozenger8

Comment on this entry and I will:

1. Tell you why I friended you.
2. Associate you with something - fandom, a song, a color, a photo, a word etc.
3. Tell you something I like about you.
4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
6. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
7. In return, you must can, if you want, post this in your LJ.

Luckily, I work at home. Reading crack!fic is not a problem anymore. ;)

This is a nice meme, I've snagged it too.

1) Meeting you in that group gathering in the pub after you had been to see Elling
2) Life on Mars (of course)
3) Your openess, your friendship
4) Giggling in the pub over a pint.
5) Why Space_Oddity?
6) Gene!

Thanks! :)

5. 'Space Oddity' is my favourite Bowie song. I'm also a huge sci-fi fan, so I wanted a nickname that mirrored my love for science fiction.

1) I think it might have been during your "Slasher's Guide to LOM", or something like that - I noticed we had fandoms in common (including the wonderful Robert Glenister), so friended you.

2) Until recently, it would have been Life on Mars, but now, the fellow love of Terrence Mann/Dresden Files.

3) Being supportive though obscure fannish tendencies - rl co-workers think I'm nuts for having a much older man (Terrence Mann) on my desktop - you know what it is like and don't care =).

4) God - one of the hardest ones to answer. Making the Bob icons just at a time when I commented I needed some and me falling in love with them - and then wishing I could make icons at all!

5) Does Kitty have a real name, or always known just as Kitty?

6) Cause, just like nob gags, suggestive food is always fun.

For all intents and purposes my cat's name is Kitty. She was originally adopted by my older sister who comes up with horrendous cutesy names for animals that everyone else in the family chose to ignore. No one but my nephews refer to the cat by her "given" name.

...it's "Tootsie" :P

[identity profile] kirsteena.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Hehehehe I can see why.

My parents, for some godforsaken reason decided to name our first cat "Swipe". Yeah like I was going to stand at the back door and shout that when the silly cat wouldn't come in....

HAHAHA!

Yes, I've just finished reading that fic and...my parents really want to know why I've laughed so hard I'm crying.

Which shall never happen - I would die if my parents ever saw what I read/got up to on here XD

1) Post East Sheen. Nuff said.

2) Phil Glenister =)

3) Your criticism of Rusty - generally exactly what I am thinking at the same time =)

4) When we first met at East Sheen. All these women sitting about, pretending to be interested only in what they were doing, watching everyone arriving carefully. Then when PG did arrive, everyone's eyes following himhis arse into the building. Ever seen half a dozen women with whiplash? Then the "omg are you here for...?" as we all realised who we were.

5) Given the choice - Five or Ten?

6) Richard/Oliver. OTP!

Ahh East Sheen ♥ I'll hold that as a very fond memory till the day I die :D

Then when PG did arrive, everyone's eyes following him his arse into the building. Ever seen half a dozen women with whiplash? Then the "omg are you here for...?" as we all realised who we were.

Hahaha! So so true! But how can you not stare at that arse *drools* And that 'Omg are you...' moment still cracks me up till this day XD Also - very very glad that when you think of me you think of Phil.

Anyone who hates Rusty is high up on my flist! The man has no shame, and I can't wait till he leaves and the God that is Steven Moffat takes over.

5) Given the choice - Five or Ten?
Five all the way - he's my Doctor. When my dad introduced me to Doctor Who with the re-runs on UK Gold it was with Castrovalva so he was effectively my Doctor.

Richard/Oliver is so OTP its canon! The man cannot get enough of that car! I love the fact him screeching 'Oliver!' was the best sound heard on Top Gear in 2007 XD

omg, I laughed so hard when that was the best sound heard on Top Gear '07. And that icon is just so perfect.

You know what's even better? Hamster's reaction to when they told him Oliver was in the studio XD Oh and when people suggested Oliver should be car of year! The guy looked like a kid in a sweet shop LOL!

[identity profile] kirsteena.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
lol I just saw that ep on either Dave or BBC 3 or 4 recently, and he really was sooooo chuffed Oliver was in the studio - his face was lovely.

Just remembered another Richard/Oliver moment - remember not long after the Africa episode and they had James play that love song on the keyboard as Jeremy talked about the fact Oliver was coming home? Tooo fucking cute!

'He loves me and he's coming home!' ♥

Bucket of water in the corner, Shishmish has lost the plot....

1) Erm, probably after commenting about fics (may have been that short LOM-meets-Hustle one-shot with the glasses). Plus I was in awe of your LOM fics.

2) Life on Mars, without a doubt

3) Your sense of humour which comes out in the fic, and your comments =)

4) All the different "Loz" Icons.

5) Why teaching?

6) Your Mark Warren with the gun one. Cause Marc Warren = teh sex.

5. The fascinating thing is that you're the third person to ask me that in this thing. I'll be honest and say I don't really know. I never really actually liked school. I didn't mind the lessons, wasn't awfully fond of the other kids. I don't do well with people in general. I think, if I really analyse it, it's because it pushes me to be a better person. I become less shallow, I challenge my perceptions, I gain patience.

[identity profile] kirsteena.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 09:40 pm (UTC)(link)
The only reason I asked was because my uni did a lot of teacher training, so I have always been around a lot of teachers. And I know I couldn't teach, but admired the ones who could.

1) Fellow FFXI player, fellow pimp hat wearer =)

2) Red. Wonder why?

3) You always seem to refuse to get flustered by anything =)

4) Standing strong with us when the whole community thing went down - was a stressful time for all involved.

5) Hair colour!

6) VG cats are just too cool

VG Cats are, indeed, awesome :3

Natural brunette, but I like to go reddish-brown :x breaks up the monotony a bit. ^^;

Thanks much for the compliments that are 3 & 4~
