Normal service once again
Apr. 27th, 2006 10:29 amYesterday was sort of normal service for me in FFXI. Templer and I decided to level together, looking to see if we could gain a level. After waiting for people to pop on, we finally got a party and headed out to Cape Terrigan. 2k later, I popped my Raise II scroll I got in a BCNM a couple of months ago - 56 obtained (and some very silly looking AF pants)! Pugs were evil, but overall it was good steady xp. I don't want to massage his ego too much, but Temp as pld made my job as whm very easy... plus I know he would be pleased at some of the comments he was getting - but I don't think he was too impressed at me asking him to die so I could try out RII... Temp is now about 4k to 58, and his AF pants. Need to go find him a Castle Zvhal key soon!
After that, we had noticed the forces in Mamook building all day, and when they hit 96, we (and about 400 others) headed to Al Zhabi, in the hope of some beseiged action... I think the problem is that SE have totally underestimated the enthusiasm for this... 400 people waiting for 100 mobs - yeah... It appears (from what little I saw, the lag was amazing), the mobs are somewhat like Dynamis - they may be purple, but you can actually cast on them/hit them. After a while, the forces gave up and warped out (a while - 2 minutes...). I got 33xp and 33 IS points for it.
Part of the problem is the mobs only come in the gate. If mobs appeared to scale the walls and come in anywhere in Al Zhabi, it would probably work better. 400 blood thirsty adventures lying in wait of them... yeah...
Tonight - another maintenance, so a slight delay for us. Konoha attempts Divine Might tonight - and this is my baby. /panic...
Yesterday's funny point. Since we are allowed pets in Al Zhabi, I decided to run around as rdm/smn for a bit. With HQ staves, free carby and free Fenrir. Had carby out while I ran to the rest of the ls gathered for besieged. Sethe looked at me, paused, looked at carby, paused again, looked at me and carby then said "Kirst, why do you have a rat following you?". You could just imagine the human expression of confusion, and I was crying laughing...
