Ramblings, mutterings and thoughts

Well I woke up this morning, and we had a light covering of snow over everything. Was pretty. Two minutes of sunshine, bai bai snow.

I've been playing around with my journal layout - not sure if it will stay like this, but will do for now. Need to find a Dresden Files banner for the top - preferably one with Bob. Been through, tagging old entries, up to middle of May last year, will pick at the rest. Went to work on the mood theme last night (I was really bored for some reason), found I left my DVDs at home.

Ah well. Today is another quiet day - we are going out soon, but not far - it is really bitter out. Theatre tomorrow yay!

Oh and my AIM isn't working again - any suggestions? It logs in, then instantly crashes...

I have GOT to stop listening to "The Scarlet Pimpernel" soundtrack quite so obsessively in the car. I'm starting to see how a Life on Mars fanvid can be done to "The Riddle" - and that scares me cause I have no clue how to do vids, and at the moment, no time to learn.

So, I'm getting up at 6am tomorrow, to leave the house at 7 (I'm incapable of getting ready in an orderly fashion - though I did kinda get ready and hotoiled my hair tonight like I planned to). Train to Waterloo, cross London, meet up with Fran (JeanGenie) and Hayley (Curlywurly) at Kings X. Train to York, meet up with Clarey, Janet and Vicky. Then off to see Wuthering Heights. Not sure what is going to happen with the rest of the weekend, but there is a ghost walk being mooted about, as well as a Sunday lunch. Sharing a room with Fran and Hayley = no sleep mwhahahahaha.

Oh yeah, and seeing Marshall Lancaster in Wuthering Heights is gonna be fun!!!

Old Harry's Game is complete, and with emeriin for beta reading now. Very nervous!

I'm on my third cup of tea, and it has only been 3 hours. My head is going to hurt like crazy tonight because of caffeine overdose. Urgh. OH is working in London all this week, so because of York trip, won't get to see him till a week on Thursday. This is going to make Vivien a cranky bitch. Be prepared.

Edit: yup - I have come down of my caffeine high, and feel like shit. I can't get the parts I have of Old Harry's Game to link up, I waited nearly an hour for a freelancer to drag her arse into work, meaning I was late home, I had a row with OH, and I am bored as hell with FFXI. Time to kick a cat or something...

Edit edit: Just ordered books 2, 3 and 4 of the Dresden Files. I'm enjoying the first, and they had them cheap on Amazon. Happier now.
