Feb. 24th, 2008 03:57 pmOk I have a problem. This may seem weird and unrelated, but never mind. Bear with me.
The problem is the way lawyers are portrayed on television. I may have just been unlucky in my choice of viewing over the past few days, but I want to hurt some writers.
It seems that as soon as you give lawyers a moral POV (take Evan in A2A this week, with his "someone must stand and defend in even if you don't believe it" speech that I have blocked from my memory) they become such stereotypes that I want to poke someone's eyes out. It was the same with Alex's mother - who just annoyed the crap out of me. She was this good person, fighting for the rights of her clients. But one who would abandon her daughter on the day of the Royal Wedding *grabs pencil* - because lawyers like that don't exist and aren't godlike or something... *hides*

But on the whole A2A was better this week. Alex was more bearable. I still want to ffwd on occasion which isn't good, but was less than last week. I'm just a bit more concerned that Gene Hunt appears to be a pastiche of himself.
Of course, if they were all as hot as in Whose Monkey is it Anyway, I could learn to live with the writing *grins*
