This weekend is kind of crunch time for me with blm. I am getting fed up with looking for party, also my soloing options at this level are somewhat limited.
Last night, I decided to try soloing some Goblin's Leeches in Gustav Tunnel. All very well, but the damn things went 10 minutes at a time without tracking near me... =( I am now 3k from 55, which is very frustrating. Solo wise, when I hit 56, I can see a better camp in Pso'Xja for soloing, but I have to get there...
So, I have decided, I have all this weekend free. Focus will be blm. If I can't manage to get at least to 57 (which isn't unreasonable over 3 days), I am going to hang up my Wizard's Gloves, and concentrate on other jobs. Hopefully, tonight, after maintenance, a group of us are going to xp which will help, if I can get part way to 56 I will be happy.
Other options I have - regular ENMs. Test Your Mite, basic Promy ENMs, Promy-Vahzl and (if I hit 60) Pulling the Strings can be done for extra xp once every 5 days. Just need to set up regularly. Need to ensure I do regular scrolls as well - Escort, Spice Gals, Sacrarium (need to lose fomor hate soon please Deo), and Chocobo racing can all be done. I could also try to find a blm partner, and duo my way through.
I was talking to Ehran about it yesterday. Skillchains have died. Spamming weapon skills is all the rage. I fear when we get the next batch of players, who have only really known spam parties, through to endgame. Their precious rampage is going to do squat on Gods, and we are going to have players with little skill coming through.
