Day 04 - Your favorite book or series ever

Two today, because I didn't do it yesterday. Whoops?

My favourite book or series ever? That's actually a really really difficult one, as I don't really have one as such. Lately, I guess it's the Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher. Engaging, well written, pacy, full of wonderful characters... Yeah. That works!

Day 05 - A book or series you hate

The Gormenghast Trilogy, by Mervyn Peake. I don't know what it is about them, because by rights I should love it, but I hate it. Whether it's the setting, the characters, or what, I'm not sure. I've struggled through it - and struggle doesn't even come close to describing how I got through it, but I could not tell you anything about it other than I hated it. I first started trying to read it when I was fourteen, and got to about page 50 before giving up. Now... I get to the same point again.

Urgh. Hate it.
