Why is LJ failing? I've created two accounts recently, for journals for H&M. And I can't upload userpics to either of them.

This is what I get.





I've tried not using LJLogin, thinking that might be the problem, but no. The other day, when I was responding to a PM from a totally different account, I got the same sort of screen. Ideas?

Not uploading user pics is pissing me off.

Well the first entry on LJ's 'Known Issues' page sounds like it might help you. If not, I'd suggest searching the known issues further.

It's weird, because I allow all of LJ on it, and still doesn't work, but my b/f uses, if anything, more protection on his, and I can get to the page there...

I had that issue with using AdBlock on Plus accounts. When I disabled AdBlock it let me upload pictures again.

I was highly displeased, esp as the issue JUST started like a week or two ago.

I know what that is - it's either that LJ have done something or AdBlock have done something to stop some pages working. I'd only come across it on the Edit Tags page. I'm just glad I have some basic accounts, otherwise I'd never be doing anything ever! I'm certainly not going to turn AdBlock off - and LJ's advice is no help because you can't refresh the page, you have to close and re-open Firefox in order to turn AdBlock off.

hmmm if it's an adblock issue, why not try a different browser to upload them?
