So, what have I been up to - been a bit of a busy time to be honest - some fun, some not so fun. But it balances out on the fun side!
Actually managed to level my whm for some! Finally got it off 63 where it had been stuck, and made 64. Though, now my blm partner has got a new job and can't make it, I shall probably go back to soloing that till I hit 75, then finish whm. But the thought was there!
Also, never get into parties with more than 3 taru...
Talking of whm, we took a run down to fight Shen to get Reverand Mail's for our whm - including mine (saves a trip later!). Always a chaotic fight, it is so easy for something to go wrong. My first lantern was a wipe, but luckily I had a spare, so got it on my second. Next couple of runs were good, last run was a skin of the teeth job... Oh on that Shen trip, I decided to fish for Shall Shells inbetween pops, and in the 10 mins between, I got 0.8 skill ups and hit 51 fishing.
Still, all good fun!
We have had a ton of fun with the new level 6 besieged. I have been trying to go fairly regularly, as my rdm buffer regularly gets destroyed, and it all helps. One undead one, we all decided to try to destroy Medusa, got her to 32% before she warped out, which was pretty good all in all. And I am loving the new items...
Talking of buffer on rdm, mine got whittled down to about 10k from capped 3 weeks earlier - time to work on it! I did, and also got myself enough merits to get second level Slow II. I am going to finish that off, then Paralyze II, then work on mp, and finally decide what I want to do with Group 1 rdm merits! My favourite ToAU camp has to be against the Trolls in Mount Zhaylom. I love seeing the mountain up there...
Have been spending some time trying to pimp out my rdm. Since we do Dynamis, and Limbus now we have enough with sea, I wanted to get a couple of the Obis - started off getting an Anrin Obi (the dark one). Went down with one of my oldest friends, and we both managed to get enough for our obis in one session =)
I had been off ill for a few days, and 2 of my ls blm were on, and we were bored. So we decided to go have a little fun - and trio ODS. Worked out being surprisingly easy, though the drops were godawful as ever. Thundaga III, I sleepga, Kyata would follow up with Sleepga II to make sure they had enough time. Took 3, maybe four rounds of nukes to finish em off. Pindaro also had a Clotho Orb, so we next headed to Fei'yin and try to trio Along came a Spider. Avesta (/sigh) has soloed this, so we decided to have a go at trioing it. We forgot to bring Antidotes which was a bit of a problem but never mind. The idea was that Kyata and Pindaro would kite nuke Anansi (the big spider), with me helping to bind and gravity it. When it was dead, we would immediately sneak up, and in theory the babies wouldn't hear us till we were ready. Except a couple of times, sneak was a bit hard to get up for some reason... first orb was good, second orb we wiped, third orb was scrappy but we made it. ODS is definitely easier, but it was worth the try. I love doing stuff like this - it is challenging and fun.
But the big news of the update is best said by pictures.
One last thing - the last of the drama queens left the ls this week, so we can move forward - already the atmosphere is 110% lighter. I love it.
