Snow

Yes. We have it. Get over it, people. This kind of winter is exactly the kind I had to grow up with - random snow, sent home from school, having fun, people getting on with lives.

The BBC website has gone nuts. Why is it so cold? My answer: It's winter. Deal with it.

Problem is we've forgotten how to. People don't look after their cars. They take chances. You can't. Take it easy, slowly, and you and everyone else will get there, alive. Of course, there is the chance councils aren't gritting as they used to - this is certainly true of pavements.

Gah.

Wow, I was never sent home from school due to the snow! Mind you, I can only remember it snowing twice, once when I was 11 and once when I was 14, so that could have something to do with it.

Ah, I was in the wilds of the South of Scotland, where being snowed in was a real possibility once it started. We had a set pattern for who went home first, depending on where in the valley you lived.
