Finally!
You know, it's almost embarrassing to say it took six weeks to finish a book. I never normally take that long. But when the book is Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon, you might understand.
I never thought a book about crypto systems etc would be so fascinating, if hard work. But I really enjoyed it (though reading it while moving might not have been such a smart idea).
Next up, Alistair Reynolds Revelation Space. Another hard sf book. Why yes, I have a theme. I love it, though this is supposed to be as hard a going as the other one.
Ah well! All good fun. Peeved though. Our sf reading group is getting time with Joe Hill, when he comes to do a signing (he's agreed to answer questions etc for half an hour before hand), and I can't make it. Grrrrr.
Back to geekdom.
