Blarghus update blargh...
Mar. 14th, 2006 11:14 amWell last weekend was kind of a crazy weekend but fun – and a great learning experience. As said before I think I lost about 15k xp all told, but meh, xp can be gotten back.
I can’t even remember what I did Friday night… so can’t have been that important! Saturday I goofed about when I was online till Dynamis time. Dynamis was a lot of fun, and considering we had 22 people we did really well – we cleared large swathes of the area, we extremely lucky not to get Astral Flowed (Deo, playing on Ajaja’s character just got Sleepga II off JUST as the message came up on the screen that the Vanguard Dollmaster uses Astral Flow) – fear teh Carbuncle! Anyway, we did better than I imagined we would, and next time are going to try for the clear.
Sunday was CoP time – we had put this off for a bit, but it was time to push for finish on CoP. 8-1 involved a lot of running around, fighting sets of 3 weak aerns. Easily completed, now have access to The Grand Palace of Huxoi. Next week will be the rather long 8-2 – we shall probably rope in as many people as we can to make this easier. After that, myself, Aldric, Sarise and Hayly tried Apollyon SW (we were going for SE but got the wrong tower). Fomors! Actually, considering we had a smn, rdm, blm and a sam, we did pretty well, managed to kill 5 or so of the mobs before time ran out. Learned a lot about that level. Tarutaru are resistant to magic, but can’t take the physical. The Galka paladins are the opposite (must have been wearing Jelly Rings imo). A couple of deaths, but huge fun. I ‘miraculously’ managed to get 2 ancient coins – wonder how that happened /grin. Ald – your next day off we need to farm for our relaxing earrings! Actually the best part – goofing off with the crew again. <3
After that, a quick run up to sky for Konoha’s god hunts. They took down Genbu with no problems, onto Seiryu. My god he is rough. The first time we took him on, he was hard work, but we whittled him down. Not huge drops, but I got the abjuration for my Zenith Slacks (the only piece of Zenith that I want at this point in time, cause rdm leg pieces are pretty crap, and they will be great for times when I am main healing). Second time we took him on, he walked all over us. Paralyna really screwed us over, and after we lost all tanks, it was just a matter of time. I took about 4 r1 in an attempt to help, but we wiped. Still, we got him to 10% before we did, and it certainly was a valiant effort. Still we move on – there will be other times, and it should stop us from being too cocky about things. After that, another Suzaku, and another rdm/drk Chainspell/Stun fest. I died literally just as my chainspell wore off, but a couple of Firagas got through – mainly cause I didn’t have hate at the time and someone was pulling it in the other direction…
In normal, everyday stuff, I finished limit break for Clearite, and am currently working on getting her into Sandy armour. I used up 3 charges in Davoi yesterday (Sandy controlled, fire crystals) and it seems to be working. I also got the Mirror Images quest, so will be off to Fei’yin soon to fight =). Current projects in the ls include ZM runs (ZM5 through Ifrit’s Cauldron…. /shudder).
