A fuller update

kirsteenaYup - one mad weekend. So in brief... Peacock charm sold, received 5.5 mill for it. Sitting on 6.5 mill atm - time to go spendy!
Logged on yesterday to tells of 'Let's do Fenrir!!!' Ok, I say. Wander out to Full Moon Fountain. Notice it is Lightsday, but Full Moon. Oh well give it a go anyway. Buff up, go in, have a vague tactic worked out - then E looses shadows and gets a 1049 Eclipse Bite. So begins the pattern for the day - we run away.
Second time, we have the idea of E kiting him about, Ald using bloodpacts, and Cy bouncing the hate back to her when needed. Doing fine, we survived Howling Moon at 50%, and launched into him... got him to 8% and wiped. =(
It now rolled into darksday, full moon. We try again, and again.
And so into firesday. Try 7 was unsuccessful, so we changed tactics on try 8. E and Cy would each have an earth staff, and Hayly would go postal a lot earlier, knowing she would die, and hopefully be able to reraise (if Fen didn't take the buffs). Going this way we got him to 50% at which point we gathered on him to try to survive the 2 hour - the reasoning behind it being that Pat would immediately use Benediction, and take the death. After that, two hours were flying everywhere, I chainspelled and died, Cy used EES, Hayly 'fonted - and we saw that wonderful phrase 'Hayly defeats Fenrir Prime'! After nearly 2.5 hours, we did it using a traditional party of nin, rng, blm, rdm, whm and smn.
And yes, Pat and I finally got our wedding date through yay!
EDIT: NEVER trust a smn wearing a chef's apron, subligar and Optical hat. The wedding date is THURSDAY 5TH JANUARY @ 2pm PST
