You know those days when you just ENJOY the game?
First of all I finalised Pat’s Christmas present. After much help from Ehran, he got a bee larvae in order to pop Death from Above and get Pat a Hornetneedle for his thf. Enjoy it, you deserve it sweetie.
After that, I didn’t have a huge amount of time before I was to take a break, and I thought hmmm what can I do? Looking through my key items I realised I had a tuning fork of earth. I can go fight the thonged one! Well when Kabukajeo heard what I was up to it was {Team up?}. To run through Quicksand Caves without aggro – priceless. Anyway, buff up and in we go! Titan really is a pussy cat – his 2 hour caused about 150 damage to me, and that was it. Kabbie even took all weapons off towards the end and fought him mano a mano – hand to hand ftw!
So, Kabbie needed 2 more pacts to be able to summon all the basics – Ramuh and Ifrit. So off we run to Boyodha Tree and Ramuh. Once again, the old man in a dress was easy, with only shock spikes causing a few problems – his two hour didn’t even burn my stoneskin off. To the disco room... er Ifrit's Cauldron.
Ifrit was going well till his 2 hour went off – it ripped through my phalanx enhanced stoneskin and took well over 1k hp off me, leaving me with barely over 100 hp. Kabbie took him for a little run while I recovered (I yelled ow for a bit first, then I forgot to use Divine Seal, as I was unusually for me subbing whm doh), but the intrepid nin was also being beat up. Being the trigger happy rdm I am, I suited up for nuking, hit Chainspell and gave Ifrit some Tier III spells to finish off. Still 3 avatars done in one day isn’t too bad!
In the meantime we headed back into the Cauldron to see if Tyrannic Turrock was up (he wasn’t). And I finally took a Dark Prophecy pearl, for the times when Pat isn’t about and the rest of Stardo are on there!

...but there's more!
Date: 2005-12-20 06:31 pm (UTC)...As it turned out, the NM had claimed HIM! As I would later discover, this guy didn't even know what it was, but it had aggroed him and his party of 4-5 people. Unfortunately for them, they were not strong enough to take it down. As it very quickly beat them down they called for help, and then escaped. As the CFH-mode vanished I pulled the NM but a couple of bombs were too near and aggroed us, forcing us to escape too. By now 3 LS-mates were on the way to help us out. As we quickly gathered together for round 2, we five got back to the site just in time to see the NM aggro the poor group of 4-5 once again. (I don't know how this kept happening, you only need Sneak to pass safely!) I think they were only trying to get past him to do ZM5 or something; they had no intention of fighting the great beast. This time they didn't even bother trying to fight, they trained it far away and either zoned out or died, I don't know. After some searching we found where they had trained it to. (It moves EXTREMELY slowly and would've taken all day to return to its spawn.) We cleared a safe camp, and somehow pulled it back thru lots of aggro mobs from the crazy location they had run it away to... And finally, we fought with Tunnok. We won, but no drop this time. And fortunately, the only casualty was my NPC Buddy Jugowa, who is ill-equipped to deal with scorpion AoEs... ; ;
